Full qualification title: Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Interior Systems (Construction) – Access Flooring
The qualification is suitable for tradesmen with several years of experience installation of Raised Access Flooring systems. You will need to demonstrate that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to stay safe on a building site; to move and store materials and components; to acquire and share information; and to safely remove, relocate and install various types of raised access flooring.
The most common way to achieve your NVQ is called the On Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) and involves an assessor collecting evidence of candidate’s skills by workplace observation and questioning. Candidates can also provide additional evidence in the forms of Toolbox Talks, Time sheets, Induction Registers and Employer’s and Client’s References. The whole process is designed around candidates and their needs. The idea is that assessor should not in any way interfere with the candidate’s work activities and must be almost invisible during workplace observations. At the end of the assessment assessor will conducted a tape-recorded discussion with the candidate to confirm their work knowledge.
